With the Introduction of Nursing Paramedical Pharmacy and Allied Health courses in J&K the stakeholders felt the need of having an organization to take care of their common issues with the regulatory and other bodies and also to join hands to contribute unitedly for the welfare of the institutions established to run the said programs at various locations across the length and breadth of Jammu and Kashmir. The like-minded people formed an organization namely ARCHS (J&K) in the year 2015 with the sole objective to uplift the said domain. Today there are around 40 colleges of Nursing, 8 Colleges of Pharmacy and 75 colleges approximately are functioning and producing thousands of health care professionals in Jammu and Kashmir who are working not only in the Govt organizations only but also serving society by rendering services in the Private Hospitals, Clinics, home care nursing, diagnostic labs, drug stores etc. the health care professionals produced by these institutions played a major role during the COVID 19 pandemic by voluntarily taking care of the patients in various health care organizations.
The ARCHS is also continuously working for updation of Institutions, faculty members, students etc by keeping pace with the latest trends of the market. The ARCHS also organize seminars, workshops, webinars etc at regular intervals on the latest topic of interest.

The membership of ARCHS is open to any person who has attained the age of maturity (above 18 years) and is member of managing society involved in running and managing Govt. recognized and affiliated colleges/Institutions.
Any eligible candidate who wishes to join the association shall have to pay a sum of Rs. 5000 /- as a joining fee and also pay an annual subscription fee as decided by the association from time to time.
